My Favorite Type of Piercing

Or... ya know... Saturday. :D
So, my favorite type of piercing. I like to think myself well versed on piercings. I have had my eyebrow, my ear, my lip, my tongue, and my belly button pierced. If I do get pierced again anytime soon it will either be my nose for the first time or my tongue for the second time. Currently the only piercings I have are my lip, and my ears. It's really hard to choose my favorite piercing... I know it's either the lip or the tongue. I really liked having my tongue pierced - it wasn't painful, it didn't swell up... it was seriously one of the easiest piercings I've ever had. I'm a huge fan of lip piercings. When I got mine done it was absolute hell. Apparently because of my ghetto huge lips, I've got tons of huge veins in my lip. The guy who pierced me wasn't too thrilled. It bled alot, and it swelled alot, and it turns out that I'm allergic to bactine. Not a fun piercing. I would never get my lip pierced again, but I do like the way it looks now. I loooooove looking for new lip rings, even though, at the moment I can't afford one. But... I think I'm going to go for tongue rings on this one, since it is the only piercing I would do more than once.

Eh, so sorry about the week long quietness. I had a bit of a fibromyalgia flare up. I shall commence blogging tomorrow.

My Favorite Restaurant

This one is a tie between Pepperland Cafe and The Friendly Toast.
Pepperland is in my town. It's a restaurant/bar with a bit of a Beatles theme to it. It's a great place to eat. One of my favorite meals I've had there is a quiche with a side salad. Their side salads are absolutely amazing. Lettuce, artichokes, and tomatoes, with dressing. Simple, but soooooooooo good. I also order their mac and cheese quite a bit too. Their margaritas are the most beautiful thing I've ever seen :) It's made fresh, not from a mix and... they don't skimp. :) The wait staff there is great, and it's like being with friends. And best of all the prices are quite reasonable.
The Friendly Toast is in Portsmouth, about 20-30 from where I live. The decor is awesome -- at least I think so, but it is quite well known that I'm a bit odd when it comes to decorating -- and fun. The food is great, but it's been quite a while since I've been there, with not having a car and all. The wait staff is great as well. I do know it's quite a popular restaurant among Portsmouthians, (Woo! I just made up a word!) and it should be.
So there ya go, a bonus. Two restaurants for the price of one. :)

My Favorite Job

Pizza Girl! :D
I'd have to say my favorite job was being a pizza delivery girl when I was about 20. I worked for a seedy little bar a few towns over delivering pizza to people in the middle of snow storms. It was awesome! I drove a tiny little hatchback -- don't ask, coz I don't remember the make and model -- the drivers side door wouldn't open except from the inside, the passenger side window wouldn't go up and the rear passenger side window blew out one day from cold weather. (Seriously. I was just sitting inside my car, waiting for a friend, and all of a sudden the window just broke into a million pieces. Yes, I did almost poo myself.) The windshield wipers and heat only worked sometimes. I got such killer tips on that job, since I'd be driving ten, fifteen miles in horrible snowstorms. Half the time the customers would invite me in to eat the pizza with them, and then end up giving me $50 tips. Which was great, since I only made $3 an hour. For my Christmas bonus I was given $5. Woo. Sadly, the guy who owned the place died of a heart attack a few years back and the bar is now closed. :( But it was a great job the few months it lasted.

My Favorite Decade

This, again, is a really hard decision for me.
There are two decades that I'm super interested in. The 1960's and the 1980's. (Real quick, it seems so old fashioned to write 19--)
The 1960's would probably win though. I love the music from the 60's... I really think it was such a great decade and a time of change for music. I love the clothing, the style's, the way they thought... I mean... to me it just seems like a really beautiful decade.

How could you NOT want to be a part of that?

My Favorite 80's Cartoon

This is gonna take me a couple of minutes... there were soooo many good cartoons in the eighties: Care Bears, Smurfs, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Fraggle Rock - tho that wasn't exactly a cartoon -, Jem, The Littles...
But, I would have to say my absolute favorite cartoon from the eighties is Rainbow Brite.
Seriously... how can you NOT love her???? You've got this adorable little orphan girl who saves the Color Kids and brings color to the world. I mean, there is nothing better than this girl!
She may explain my obsession with rainbows and stars. I can't exactly explain why I'm so drawn to Rainbow Brite, but she rocks my socks.

My Favorite Joke

My favorite joke is this:
A magician is driving down the road. He turns into a driveway.
Need I say more????

Polish Rummy

Polish Rummy is by far my most favorite card game. It's basically Phase 10 but with a regular pack of cards. When I was 18, 19 and 20 I was dating this boy named Justin. We were very close friends with this older lady, Terry - I mean, she wasn't that much older than us - maybe 15 years older or so. We used to spend our days sitting around her dining room table playing Polish Rummy, smoking and drinking (on occasion). I really believe that those were some of the best times in my life. I've taught a few people the game since then, but it doesn't exactly have the same allure as it did then... maybe because those people just didn't understand the awesomeness of the game. I was really excited when I figured out what is pretty much the secret to winning the game.
And that, my dears, is my favorite card game.
